Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
As Catholic Schools Week comes to a close, we are asked to think about how we can live in harmony together. We are all children of God, called to live like Jesus asked us. This year, we will continue to make this school a loving place where everyone feels, safe, welcome and cared for. Our school lives by the golden rule; to treat each other as we would like to be treated.
We are delighted to have secured a grant from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland to assist us in the purchase of 10 mini laptop harps for our school.
Mrs Katy Bustard will be in school to offer a harp taster session to any interested children on Wednesday 12th February. We are hoping to take delivery of our own collection of harps on 28th February and then the fun can really begin!
To book your place please contact Katy Bustard 07400991270, katygrahamharp@icloud.com
We will be delighted to welcome Mr Tom McKeever from the Northern Ireland Bridge Union (NIBU) into our P7 classroom next week. This is part of the NIBU initiative to teach bridge to primary school children. Research has shown that learning bridge improves ability in mathematical subjects, team skills and problem solving.
Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft said “I love bridge – anyone who is good at bridge is going to be good at lots of things.”
If it’s good enough for Bill Gates it’s good enough for us!! We will keep you posted on this exciting initiative.
Today we welcomed our grandparents and families to school to celebrate Grandparents' Day.
Our grandparents are a special part of our families. They care for us, love us and are important teachers in the ways of life and the ways of faith. Once again beautiful singing from our school choir and super readings.
And as a special treat for St. Brigid's Day on Saturday, we watched a wonderful video dramatising the story of St. Brigid starring Primary 2. Well done everyone!
Today is Grandparents’ Day, and we are asked to think about how our grandparents have watched over us and cared for us. Our grandparents can play a special role in our lives. They can be very important teachers
who show us how to love, how to be caring and how to share. They can teach us about the past and about the importance of our common home and how to cherish it. They can teach us about the beauty of God’s creation and help us to learn to care for it as we grow.
Happy Grandparent's Day!
Looking forward to welcoming our grandparents to school on Wednesday 29th January, 10:30am, in the assembly hall. Everyone welcome.💖
