#BankHolidayWeekend
Time for a spring clear out of old and unwanted textiles over the bank holiday weekend? Our next Cash for Clobber Collection is next Wednesday, 4th May.
Arrangements are a little different this year and we would ask that bags of clean, unwanted textiles are brought to school on Wednesday at drop off time (before 9:15am) and passed ‘over the wall’ to staff for storage in our Car Park until collection time. Please observe social distancing guidelines.
What can you put in the bag??
** Remember NO QUILTS or PILLOWS and all items must be clean.**
Many thanks for your continued support.
Foloowing on from our success in the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel, we are is once again participating in the Translink Eco-Schools Travel Challenge being run in partnership by Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful Eco-Schools and Translink.
Children in all classes will be asked to take part in this challenge over 2 weeks .
We will look at what transport pupils currently use to get to and from school and ask you and them to try and make sustainable improvements during this period and beyond... walking, cycling, scooting or using the nearby carparks and parking and striding to school. You could also consider arranging car sharing with another parent if possible.
This is a great opportunity for our school to continue to work towards becoming more environmentally sustainable by reducing carbon emissions caused by traffic and is a positive step towards reducing car congestion around the school. It is also a healthy and sociable option for our pupils. We will also be using the challenge as a means to maintaining our Eco-Schools Green Flag status.
Please send us your photos or videos of your active journeys to school throughout the challenge. Email to stcolumsoffice186@c2kni.net, send to our Facebook page @stcolums or via Seesaw.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Looking forward to having you all back to school on Monday 25th April for the start of our summer term.
