Schools out for summer!
Thank you to all our families, PTA and wider school community for all their support and good wishes throughout another different school year. We really appreciate it. We wish you all a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable summer break.
To our Primary 7s, our Class of 2021... what a great bunch... best wishes to them as they continue their adventures in their new schools. Work hard and dream big!
Looking forward to seeing everyone else back to school and meeting our new Primary 1 class in our new school year, starting on Tuesday 31st August.
Take care and stay safe.

It's the last day of our school year on Tuesday 29th June. School finishes at 12noon for all. And it's a non-uniform day. ..yay!
If you missed our 85th Yearbook on Your Place and Mine on Radio Ulster yesterday, you can still tune in on the following link...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000xcwm from 47:70mins.
Haven't got your copy yet? Order yours now from THE SHOP on SchoolMoney, contact THE Office 02870833010 or message our Facebook page @stcolums, £10 per copy.
The publication traces the history of the school, featuring articles from past pupils from every decade since the school was opened in 1936. All current St. Colum’s students are featured and an insight into what each class gets up to throughout the year.
This special anniversary publication coincides with a most unusual year in terms of lockdown and remote learning - certainly a year to remember.
With usual PTA fundraising activities limited this year due to the pandemic, the yearbook is our main means of raising funds for the school and we would ask you to consider ordering a copy.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Lunch menu for Monday 27th... Cottage pie, peas, wedges, gravy, fruit & yoghurt. Please book through SchoolMoney by 11pm.
There will be no break hatch on Monday or Tuesday. Please remember to send break to school with your child.
Tune in to Your Place and Mine on BBC Radio Ulster & BBC Radio Foyle tomorrow morning from 8:05am and hear our PTA talk about our 85th Anniversary Yearbook.

WOW!! Once again so many bags for our Cash for Clobber collection this week they didn't all fit in the silver shed!
THANK YOU to everyone who donated bags of unwanted textiles raising £268!! Fantastic! We really appreciate your continued support for this scheme - recycling and fund-raising for our school and helping us work towards our Eco Schools Green Flag Award.
Please continue to save your unwanted textiles for us over the summer holidays. Our next collection will be on Wednesday 8th September.
Are you ready for Wild World Heroes?
This year Libraries NI are teaming up with The Reading Agency and WWF for a very special nature-themed Challenge. Wild World Heroes is a celebration of nature and action for the environment which children aged 4 – 11 can sign up to for free by calling into their local library.
Each child will choose their own personal reading goal then read any books to collect special stickers to fill their reading record and other rewards along the way. Everyone who completes their personal challenge will receive a certificate and a medal. It’s fun and FREE. Find out more: https://bit.ly/LNISRC
Exciting events and activities will take place online throughout the summer months alongside a fun, immersive digital platform full of great reading activities for all children to continue the fun at home. Here you will also find ideas from the WWF to help tackle real-world environmental issues such as plastic pollution, deforestation and wildlife decline. Create your digital profile here ... https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
Call into your local library to sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge and join the Wild World Heroes in Wilderville to discover how you can make a difference to the environment too!
