  • SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!

    Happy holidays everyone! We hope you have a safe, restful and enjoyable summer break.


    Thank you to all our families, PTA and wider school community for all their support throughout the year. We really appreciate it. 

     

    Best wishes to Mrs Millar, Mrs Loughrey and Miss Cassidy who are leaving us. Many thanks to them for the huge contribution they have made to life at St. Colum’s and we wish them well for the future. We will miss them! 

     

    To our Primary 7 class... what a great bunch... best wishes to them as they continue their adventures in their new schools. Work hard and dream big! 

     

    (P.S. Our new school year starts on Monday 2nd September.)

     

  • LAST DAY OF TERM, FRIDAY 28TH JUNE

    It our last day of term tomorrow and school finishes for all at 1pm. Breakfast Club are holding an ice-cream sale at break time (£1). And it's a non uniform day!

  • CASH FOR CLOBBER COLLECTION

    Our final CASH FOR CLOBBER collection of the school year is on Wednesday 26th June. Time for a clearout of old or unwanted textiles to make way for your summer wardrobe or just a chance to declutter your hotpress?

     

    Bags of clean, unwanted textiles may be left in the school assembly hall.

    What can you put in the bag??
    All types of clothing (even with holes!)
    Bags and shoes (please tie shoes together with laces)
    Hats and belts
    Towels and curtains
    Bed linen (sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers)
    ** Remember all items must be clean.**

  • GO GOLF CELEBRATION

    To celebrate the end of their golf taster sessions with golfer Neil Graham, our golfers attended the Go Golf Celebration at University of Ulster Coleraine today. They had a brilliant day and we’re sure some of them have definitely caught the golfing bug! A huge thank you to Neil for sharing his expertise during the project and to everyone involved in organising this super project.

    All classes are collecting loose change in their classrooms. Last year Primary 6 were our winners. Who will collect the trophy in 2019?

  • GREAT EVENING AT THE SUMMER FAIR!

    All the fun of the Fair! What a great evening! Lots of fun and games, great crowd and the rain stayed away!

     

    Thanks to the PTA for organising, all the volunteers who helped beforehand and on the evening, to our sponsors, all those who donated items and to everyone who came along.

  • BUSY BREAKTIME AT THE BUN SALE

    Wow! Busy breaktime today at the Primary 3 Bun Sale. Thanks everyone for all the donations and to everyone who bought buns today. What a selection...they were delicious! Primary 3 did a great job of selling ably helped by pupis from Primary 6 and 7.

     

    Don't worry if you missed the sale today, more buns on sale at breaktime tomorrow!

  • FIRST COMMUNION

    Best wishes to our pupils who received their First Holy Communion today at St. Mary's, Star of the Sea Church. May the love of Jesus shine in their hearts always.

     

    Super readings and beautiful singing. Well done everyone! Thank you to Fr. Austin, our school choir, to Mr Shaw, Mrs Loughrey, parents  and everyone who helped prepare the children for their special day.

     

    Finally thank you to the PTA and all their volunteers who organised the lovely refreshments in the assembly hall afterwards.
