Looking forward to starting our Sustrans BIG WALK AND WHEEL challenge this week.
We are encouraging all our pupils to travel actively to school over the next week.... walk, cycle, scoot or park and stride to school. 😃🚲🛹🛴🚴♂️🚴♀️🚶♀️🚶♂️🚶♀️🚶♂️
Why not help to reduce congestion in front of the school by parking further from school and 'striding' the short distance to school. 🚶♀️🚶♂️🚶♀️🚶♂️
We will be recording the number of children who actively travel to school each day and there are some brilliant prizes to be won.🏆🏆
In past years St. Colum’s have been at the top of the leaderboard for the Big Walk & Wheel Challenge 😀We would love to try and get there again this year. 🫰
📷We'd love to see your photos and videos of your active travel to school. Please send in on Seesaw or medssage our Facebook page @scolums
Have a great week of active travel to school.
Many thanks for your support.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Have a great day off tomorrow. See you all again on Tuesday 19th March.☘
#StPatricksDay2024
Our school was a sea of green for our St. Patrick's Day celebrations today!
We had a whole school assembly led by Primary 6 with super music from our traditional musicians, beautiful singing from our school choir, Irish dancing and a poem in Irish from our Primary 1 superstars.
☘️ Our P5 - P7 helped make shamrock pins for the parish which will be on sale after mass this weekend in aid of Trócaire.
☘️ Not forgetting shamrock shaped shortbread for dessert at lunchtime and a quiz in the afternoon on all things Irish.
What a brilliant Day! ☘️🌈💚
