Back to school tomorrow. Please remember to avoid parking on the school entrance markings and pavements, allowing pupils and parents a clear view to cross the road safely.
Reduce congestion in front of the school by using Convention Avenue Car Park(beside the fire station) and 'striding' the short distance to school.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Our canteen menu has some slight changes from Monday ...and chips have moved to Friday! Yay!

THANK YOU to everyone who donated bags of unwanted textiles for our Cash for Clobber Collection this week... raising £80! We really appreciate your support for this scheme - recycling and fund-raising for our school!
Thank you to Primary 7 for helping to load the lorry. 🚛♻️
Please continue to save your unwanted textiles for us. Our next collection will be on Wednesday 23rd October.
PTA AGM
Please come along!
Monday 7th OCTOBER 2019
School Hall 7.30PM
Stay informed and get involved!
We’re holding our AGM next Monday and would like to invite all parents, guardians and carers to attend. It will be a fairly quick meeting mainly involving a run down of the previous year’s activities but in order to run our AGM and elect the 2019/20 PTA committee, it is vitally important that we reach the required attendance to run the meeting. Even if you are not wanting to go onto PTA (and we promise there is no obligation, we are happy to just have as many at the meeting as possible), please please come along and show your support! Meeting should last approx 30mins.
We love to see new faces on committee.
If it is something you’d be happy to be part of, please let any current member know!
2018/19 Committee Members : Olivia McLaughlin (Chair), Angela Cassidy (Treasurer), Nial McSorley (PRO), Alice McGill (Secretary), Daniel Turner (Vice Secretary), Miss McGoldrick (Teacher Rep), Steven Wright,
Donna McCandless, Paddy McLaughlin.
REMINDER: No school on Friday 27th September to facilitate teacher training.
Help us recycle and raise funds for our school!
Cash for Clobber Collection
Wednesday 25th September
This year we are again taking part in the Cash for Clobber Competition as we continue our work on the Eco-Schools Program. The Cash for Clobber scheme is aimed at raising awareness of textile recycling among children and to show how essential it is for everyone in the ‘developed world’ to reduce, reuse and recycle and is also a great way of raising funds for our school. Schools which collect the most textiles per pupil are in with a chance to win the annual ‘Cash for Clobber’ competition with fantastic prizes of up to £1,000 for schools who collect the most clobber.
In the past 3years our collections have raised £1708 for our school and recycled 4270kg of textiles. Fantastic effort everyone! We have used the money raised to purchase new sports equipment and gardening items from our Wish List which benefits all the pupils in our school.
Our next collection is on Wednesday 25th September at 11am. Bags of clean, unwanted textiles may be left in the school assembly hall for collection by Cookstown Textile Recyclers, one of the Eco-school program partners, who will sort and recycle. Low grade material is used for industrial wipers and fillings, good quality clothes are re-used in the developing world.
Why not have a post-summer clear out of old and unwanted items? Please encourage family and friends to donate their unwanted textiles too.
What can you put in the bag??
Many thanks for your continued support.
