Exciting news!!
Our School Council has organised a BREAK THE RULES DAY to raise funds for our school on Friday 26th October. Pupils are allowed to break some of our school rules for a 'fine'.
The school rules they are allowed to break are:
RULE 1: Pupils MUST wear school uniform.
RULE 2: Pupils MUST have a healthy break.
RULE 3: Pupils MUST wear their hair neat and tidy.
RULE 4: Pupils MUST complete ALL homework.
RULE 5: Pupils MUST not take soft toys to class.
£1 to break a rule, £5 to break all 5!
Looking forward to a fun-filled day 'Breaking the Rules'!
What a super day!! Feet First Families, Ditching the Dark and supporting Eoghan Rua today! A huge thank you to everyone who walked, cycled and scooted to school and to everyone who parked in Convention Avenue, helping to keep the road outside our school car free and safer for everyone. And what did we do in our empty car park? We had a cèilidh of course!! Great fun for everyone!
Thanks to everyone who wore silly socks to highlight our ‘feet first’ theme and maroon and green to support Eoghan Rua in their Derry Senior Football Final on Sunday and a huge thank you to our families for their continued support for active school travel.
Looking forward to many more days walking, cycling and scooting to school.
Looking forward to a great evening at the Halloween Disco! Thursday 25th October...

On World Mental Health Day this week, Action Mental Health unveiled the inaugural Head First Awards which recognised schools, individuals and groups who go that extra mile to support the mental health and well-being of young people across Northern Ireland.
We were thrilled that Mrs Shaw and four of our Primary 6 pupils were invited to attend the awards ceremony at W5 at SSE Arena, following Mrs Shaw’s nomination for Championing Young People’s Mental Health.
What a super event, filling all with hope, inspiration and determination to carry on the spirit of the awards – championing better mental health for Northern Ireland!
A huge thank you to all the organisers to this event and huge congratulations to all the nominees and award winners.
A number of concerns have been raised about pedestrians using the vehicular entrance to access the school. In order to prevent an accident, please use the pedestrian entrance. Remember this is also good role modelling in Road Safety for our pupils.
As there is limited car parking available, the school car park is for staff only. However, there is one disabled car space which is available to anyone who displays their Blue Badge.
Many thanks for your continued support.
