  • CHRISTMAS FAIR

    Fri 17 Nov 2017

St. Colum’s Primary School PTA and St. Colum’s Pre-school Centre are holding the annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 26th November. The event will run from 4pm - 6pm in Star of the Sea Parish Centre. As well as craft stalls, we will have a cake stall, tombola, nail painting, glitter tattoos, arts & crafts, lucky dip, games and refreshments etc. We also hear that we may have a special visitor in a red suit! Admission is £3 for adults and accompanied children are free. Everyone is very welcome.

In order to make this event a success, we require new items for the Tombola Stall. Perhaps you have some unwanted or unused gifts you could donate? Please leave any items in the Primary School,Pre-School Centre or the Parish Office by Thursday 23rd November.

Donations of baked goods for our cake stall would also be greatly appreciated. For example: buns, scones, tray-bakes, apple/rhubarb tarts, wheaten bread, homemade jam etc. Home made items only please as ‘shop bought’ do not sell. Please enlist help from any bakers you may know.

We also need some help to man stalls and games on the day and tidy up afterwards. If you are available to help, please contact the school oce or email stcolumspta@hotmail.co.uk

We look forward to a festive fun-filled afternoon.

Many thanks for your continued support.

  • WOW! HI-VISIBILITY VEST FOR EVERY CHILD IN OUR SCHOOL!

    Tue 14 Nov 2017

    WOW! GREAT NEWS!

The Public Health Agency, one of the funders of the Sustrans Active School Travel programme, have once again provided enough funding to give every child in schools(new to the programme) a high-visibility vest to help keep them bright and more easily seen on journeys to and from school.

This is especially relevant given that we have been discussing the importance of being bright and more easily seen whilst travelling actively to school during the darker winter months.

    BE SAFE BE SEEN!!
