Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Well done to all our walkers in the rain this morning! Lets try to keep up our walking, scooting and cycling to school this week in spite of the weather. Forecast is cloudy for tomorrow morning so hopefully everyone will make it to school before there's a shower. Please remember your raincoat!
Our 'Walking Buses' are leaving Manina and The Warren at 8.40am SHARP!
Many thanks for your continued support.
Notice to all our Big Spring Clean helpers:
Could everyone please check their garages and sheds for an extra gardening fork? We think it went home with gardening tools after the Spring Clean. It's green, with a B&Q sticker. If you find it please return it to school. It will come in handy for our new raised beds due this week. 🌱 Many thanks. :)
It's week two of our Translink Eco-Schools Travel Challenge AND Travelwise NI Walk to School Week. Lets see if we can keep up our walking, scooting and cycling to school this week.
Don't forget our 'Walking Buses' are leaving Manina and The Warren each morning at 8.40am SHARP!
Many thanks for your continued support.

Help us recycle and raise funds for our school!
We are taking part in the Cash for Clobber scheme as we work towards our Eco-school Green Flag award. The scheme is aimed at raising awareness of textile recycling among children and to show how essential it is for everyone in the ‘developed world’ to reduce, reuse and recycle and is also a great way of raising funds for our school. Schools which collect the most textiles per pupil are in with a chance to win the annual ‘Cash for Clobber’ competition with fantastic prizes of up to £1,500.
So far this school year your unwanted textile donations raised £316 for our school. Fantastic effort everyone! Our Eco-School Committee have already started using the money raised to purchase new P.E. and sports equipment from our Wish List which will benefit all the pupils in our school.
On Wednesday 17th May, we are having our next bag drop collection. Bags of clean, unwanted textiles may be left in the school assembly hall for collection by Cookstown Textile Recyclers, one of the Eco-school program partners, who will sort and recycle. Low grade material is used for industrial wipers and fillings, good quality clothes are re-used in the developing world.
Why not have a pre-summer clear out of old and unwanted items? Perhaps you could encourage family and friends to donate their unwanted textiles too?
What can you put in the bag??
Many thanks for your continued support.

We're almost at the end of the first week of our the Translink Travel Challenge and what a beautiful week it has been for trying to reduce our travel to school by car! Well done to everyone who has walked, cycled or scooted to school this week. Great effort everyone! Some of our walkers even managed a go on the swings at The Warren in the early morning sunshine!
Let's see if we can increase our number of walkers, scooters and cyclists tomorrow.
Remember our 'Walking Buses' leave Manina and The Warren each morning at 8.40am SHARP!
Many thanks for your continued support of our Translink Eco-Schools Travel Challenge!

There were so many bicycles at school we ran out of stands for them! But we're not complaining - great effort everyone! Let's see if we can get even more walkers, scooters and cyclists tomorrow.
