During the school year 2018-2019 our participation will feature the children in P5, P6 and P7 becoming engaged in a range of projects with their peers from Portstewart Primary School. In broad terms the topics to be covered are:
The topics selected, and the planning required to deliver them, have been chosen and designed by the class teachers of both schools and found to be suitable by the Shared Education Team.
We are looking forward to another successful year of Shared Education with Portstewart Primary.

They are be losing several PTA members this year. A big thanks to them for their efforts over the last few years. Although the shoes will be hard to fill, new volunteers are needed, so please consider helping out. It's not a huge commitment and is great fun and very rewarding.
There will be teas and coffees, so it'll be a good way to meet new parents in a relaxed environment. Please use the link below to reply so we can gauge how many pots of tea to put on!
Many thanks for your support. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are taking part in the Cash for Clobber scheme again this year as we work towards our second Eco-school Green Flag award. The scheme is aimed at raising awareness of textile recycling among children and to show how essential it is for everyone in the ‘developed world’ to reduce, reuse and recycle and is also a great way of raising funds for our school. Schools which collect the most textiles per pupil are in with a chance to win the annual ‘Cash for Clobber’ competition with fantastic prizes of up to £1,500.
On Wednesday 19th September, we are having our next bag drop collection. Bags of clean, unwanted textiles may be left in the school assembly hall next week for collection by Cookstown Textile Recyclers, one of the Eco-school program partners, who will sort and recycle. Low grade material is used for industrial wipers and fillings, good quality clothes are re-used in the developing world.
Why not have a post summer clear out of old and unwanted items? Perhaps you could encourage family and friends to donate their unwanted textiles too?
What can you put in the bag??
All types of clothing (even with holes
Many thanks for your continued support.
