assembly led by our Primary 1 and Primary 2

pupils. 

Tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

Our Book Fair has arrived!

Come along to the Book Fair and earn FREE BOOKS for our school. The Book Fair is in the Assembly Hall, Thursday 17th - Tuesday 22nd September. We are delighted that we have a 3 for 2 offer on books again this year, with the cheapest book being free.

Pupils will have the opportunity to browse and purchase at the Book Fair with their class.

Parents may visit the fair with their child at Breakfast Club from 8.30am-8.50am, Monday at 1.50pm, Tuesday at 1.50pm and 2.50pm.

Payments may be made in cash or online at the fair.

After School Activities September - October 2026

Activities will run from Monday 7^th September – Friday 16^th October

Please note places are limited for these activities.

Join us for our Beginning of School Year Mass on Friday 18th September at 10.30am in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church.

Our new school year begins on Monday 31st August.

Please note that school will finish at 1.50pm for all pupils on Monday 31st August to allow staff to complete essential beginning-of-year preparations.

There will be no school lunches or hot break items available to purchase on this day, so pupils should bring a snack and drink if required.

From Tuesday 1st September onwards, pupils will return to their normal finishing times:

• P.3: 1.50pm on Monday to Wednesday and 2.50pm on Thursday and Friday.
• P.4-P.7: 2.50pm Monday to Friday.

Wishing our Primary 7 leavers, the Class of 2026, every success as they prepare to begin an exciting new chapter in their educational journey at secondary school. We are incredibly proud of all you have achieved and the young people you have become. May you go forward with confidence, embrace new opportunities, and continue to grow, learn, and thrive. Our Colour Run provided a wonderful opportunity for our P.4–P.7 children to enjoy some well-deserved fun with their friends at the end of the school year. With the sun shining brightly, the event was filled with laughter, excitement and plenty of colour! Most importantly, it gave the children a chance to make special memories with their classmates and celebrate another successful year together at St. Colum’s.

Unfortunately the heavy rain through the night means that the grass is out of action today. P1-P4 Sports Day is rescheduled for Monday 22nd, P5-P7 on Wednesday 24th June.

Applications for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the upcoming academic year are now open.

Please note, as well as new applicants, parents/carers of children who are currently in receipt of Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance will need to apply again for the 2025/26 school year.
