REMINDER:
School will be closed to all pupils on Thursday 18th January due to industial action.
This period of industrial action will be recorded in the register as ‘attendance not required’ therefore not affecting the children’s attendance records.
Next week is ENERGY SAVING WEEK and we are asking everyone to complete the Schools Energy Saving Challenge organised by Energy Saving Trust.
The aim is to encourage all children who can take part in the challenge by making some simple changes to help save energy at home.
This year, Power NI has kindly sponsored the first prize of £1000. This will be awarded to the school saving the highest amount of CO2 (pro rata according to the size of the school’s headcount).
SSE Airtricity has kindly donated the 2nd prize of tickets for one class to visit W5 in Belfast (transport included!)
As well as super prizes on offer, the challenge helps us to maintain our school's Eco School Green Flag status.
Please return completed sheets on Friday 19th January so we can collate and submit results. Our Eco-committee will give a small prize to everyone who returns their Energy Saving Challenge Sheet.
We hope everyone will get involved. Many thanks for your support.
