  • CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK - FRIDAY

    Fri 02 Feb 2018

    Friday: Our World Family

'The better we live on this earth, the greater the happiness we will be able to share with our loved ones in heaven. The more we are able to mature and develop in this world, the more gifts will we be able to bring to the heavenly banquet.' (Amoris Laetitia, 202)

God’s family stretches all around the world. We are called to care for each member of God’s family just like our family at home, our school family and our parish.

    Loving God, hear our prayer.
Keep our global family in your loving care,
    Today and always.
    Amen.

  • FOOD WASTE CHALLENGE

    Wed 31 Jan 2018

As part of our work towards our second Green Flag, we are taking part in the FOOD WASTE CHALLENGE, challenging us to tackle the issue of food waste at school and at home by recycling more. Each family will receive internal waste bin stickers and a family pledge for pupils to sign along with their family to keep at home, promising that they are going to be food waste heroes.

We have already taken part in a Food Waste Survey about our food waste recycling at home and in school and we are looking forward to finding out more about what actions we can take to reduce food waste in school and in our homes.

And there are some great prizes to be won as part of the challenge. One school in each council area will win £200 for the best Home Actions photo and £300 for the Best School Actions to reduce food waste. So please remember to record anything you do at home to reduce food waste… using brown food bins, composting, using up leftovers etc. We’ll forward an email address after half term to send your photos to.

Remember to keep an eye on the school website for Eco-School updates on this and other events.

Enjoy the challenge & have fun!

  • CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK - TUESDAY

    Tue 30 Jan 2018

    Our School Family

Schools do not replace parents, but complement them. This is a basic principle: ‘all other
participants in the process of education are only able to carry out their responsibilities in the name of
the parents, with their consent and, to a certain degree, with their authorization.’ (Amoris Laetitia, 84)

Our school is like a family. We all belong together in a special way. We are all connected in a special
way in our school. We do lots of activities by ourselves, in groups, as a class and as a school.

    Loving God, hear our prayer.
Keep our school family in your loving care,
    Today and always.
    Amen.
