ADVENT WEEK 3: JOY

 

Today we light the third candle on our Advent wreath.

 

John the Baptist came as a witness to the light, to prepare the people for the coming of Christ. He baptised them with water, but he also let them know that someone else was coming who was far greater than him.

 

'And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.' Luke 1:14
