Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
As part of our work towards our second Green Flag, we are taking part in the FOOD WASTE CHALLENGE, challenging us to tackle the issue of food waste at school and at home by recycling more. Each family will receive internal waste bin stickers and a family pledge for pupils to sign along with their family to keep at home, promising that they are going to be food waste heroes.
We have already taken part in a Food Waste Survey about our food waste recycling at home and in school and we are looking forward to finding out more about what actions we can take to reduce food waste in school and in our homes.
And there are some great prizes to be won as part of the challenge. One school in each council area will win £200 for the best Home Actions photo and £300 for the Best School Actions to reduce food waste. So please remember to record anything you do at home to reduce food waste… using brown food bins, composting, using up leftovers etc. We’ll forward an email address after half term to send your photos to.
Remember to keep an eye on the school website for Eco-School updates on this and other events.
Enjoy the challenge & have fun!

Once again beautiful singing from our school choir and super readings. 🎶
And as a special treat for St. Brigid's Day tomorrow, we watched a wonderful video dramatising the story of St. Brigid starring Primary 2. 🎬🌟🌟 Well done everyone!

Our School Family
Schools do not replace parents, but complement them. This is a basic principle: ‘all other
participants in the process of education are only able to carry out their responsibilities in the name of
the parents, with their consent and, to a certain degree, with their authorization.’ (Amoris Laetitia, 84)
Our school is like a family. We all belong together in a special way. We are all connected in a special
way in our school. We do lots of activities by ourselves, in groups, as a class and as a school.
Loving God, hear our prayer.
Keep our school family in your loving care,
Today and always.
Amen.
Our Family at Home
We all belong to a family. Even though families are all different and live in many different places, they share one thing: love.
Loving God hear our prayer.
Keep our family in your loving care,
Today and always.
Amen.
This year’s theme for Catholic Schools Week is Catholic Schools: Called to be a Family of Families. This week we will reflect on and celebrate the relationship that exists between home, school and parish.
