Primary 4 travelled back in time to spend their school day in the 1950s. What a very different day... writing with ink pens, lunches wrapped up in paper, milk in glass bottles and jiving! Great fun!

We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather for walking, scooting and cycling to school on our FEET FIRST Families day! Followed by active fun for all in our EMPTY school car park... hopping, skipping, hopscotch, balancing, hoops, balls, star jumps and stilts!
Thanks to everyone who wore crazy socks to highlight our ‘feet first’ theme.
Many thanks to our families for their continued support for active school travel. Looking forward to many more days walking, cycling and scooting to school.
Great night at our Fashion Show and Pop-Up Shop at the Royal Court Hotel! A chance to view fashions from the biggest names on the High Street and a spot of retail therapy in the Pop-up Shop. What better way to spend the evening of International Women's Day!
Well done to our PTA and all who helped organise a super night out and many thanks to all who donated raffle prizes and to everyone who came along to support this event.
Looking forward to a great night out at our Fashion Show and Pop-Up Shop! Why not come along and check out fashions from the best and biggest names on the High Street? Still time to get your ticket from the school office, via email stcolumspta@hotmail.co.uk or call Leisa 07970 929 757.
On our FEET FIRST FAMILIES day, (Friday 9th March) our school car park will be closed to ALL traffic except those needing disabled access and delivery vehicles. We plan to use this space for fun activities throughout the day.
Many thanks for your continued support.
We are delighted to offer our Primary 6 pupils National Standard Cycle Training, as part of the Sustrans Active School Travel Programme. This will take place on Monday 12th, Wednesday 14th and Thursday15th March during the school day.
During training, pupils will gain the skills and confidence to ride their bikes safely on today’s roads for short journeys such as cycling to school and teach key skills such as good road positioning, signalling and visibility.
Registration forms should be returned ASAP to allow allocation of limited spaces.
Looking forward to helping our pupils stay safe on the roads.
We are really excited to announce that as part of the Sustrans Active School Travel Programme, we are holding a FEET FIRST FAMILIES day on Friday 9th March 2018.
This is the launch day of a brand new initiative in which we are supporting our pupils to walk, scoot or cycle to school on a regular basis and to encourage other members of the family to get involved too.
As part of the FEET FIRST FAMILIES launch day on the 9th of March, we are encouraging as many pupils and their families as possible to walk, cycle or scoot to school on that day. Why not hop on to one of our Walking Buses leaving Manina and the Warren at 8:40am SHARP.
On the day our school car park will be closed to ALL traffic except those needing disabled access and delivery vehicles. We plan to use this space for fun activities throughout the day.
And just for fun we are asking children to wear crazy socks or tights to highlight our ‘FEET FIRST’ theme.
Looking forward to a fun filled Active Travel Day.
Many thanks for your continued support.
