SAL'S SHOES, TOE TO TOE INITIATIVE

There are 300 million children in the world for whom walking with shoes is a rarity. This makes them extremely vulnerable to infection by parasites, such as hookworm; while injuries to the feet and ankles can lead to ulcers and other conditions which are almost always left untreated. Without shoes, many children are not permitted to attend school.

Our School Council are collecting all kinds of used (but still in good condition) kids shoes as part of the TOE TO TOE initiative by SAL'S SHOES, which distributes used shoes  to children who need them around the world.

They are collecting all sorts of different types of shoes: flip flops, sandals, school shoes, trainers, winter boots and football boots to name but a few. Larger sizes are acceptable but all footwear must be child appropriate (no heels!).

Shoes should be in wearable condition: solid soles with no holes, laces if the shoes need them and please think of the recipients and take the time to give your shoes a quick clean before you pass them on – no mud!

Have your kids outgrown their shoes? Are they still in good condition?

Shoes (along with a £1 donation towards delivery costs)may be dropped off in school next Thursday 28th and Friday 29th June.

Many thanks for your support.
